Hygienic Shovel, D Grip, 1035 mm (Vikan)

The Vikan Hygienic Shovel with D grip is a one-piece shovel for moving food ingredients and large quantities of food waste. It is made in one piece with a smooth surface, so there are no joins where bacteria can gather and it cleans easily. It suits shovelling from container to container. The ergonomic D grip lets the worker press down on the top of the shovel to move large amounts of material, and the handle and grip shapes reduce hand strain and improve control.

The large, flat pan moves bulk materials efficiently. The bevelled blade scrapes away dried-on material and picks up fine, loose debris. The classic straight handle is familiar to most users and easy to manoeuvre, and the shovel works equally well for left- and right-handed users. It is light, so it reduces fatigue over a shift. It is made in Denmark from polypropylene, and its colour coding supports hygienic zoning plans and 5S lean programs.
