Biohazard Bags
Bright yellow bags for collecting infectious and potentially infectious waste, printed with the biohazard symbol so staff and waste contractors can recognise them at a glance. Keeping this waste in its own clearly marked bag, apart from general rubbish, is the point of a colour-coded system. The bags are 50 micron, sold in packs of 50.
Choose your size
- 360 x 710mm: a compact bag for treatment rooms, bathrooms, first-aid rooms and small bins.
- 530 x 990mm: a larger bag for bigger bins, clean-up jobs and higher-volume areas.
Where they’re used
Medical and dental clinics, aged care and rest homes, tattoo and piercing studios, first-aid rooms, and cleaning teams dealing with blood or other bodily fluid clean-ups in hospitality, schools and public facilities.
Using them safely
Biohazard bags are one part of a clinical waste routine. Sharps belong in a rigid sharps container, never in a bag, and larger spills need a proper spill kit. Check with your waste contractor how infectious waste should be sealed, stored and collected, and wear gloves when you handle it.
Complete your setup
Browse our wider medical products and first aid kits, and protect staff with nitrile gloves and coats and aprons. For the general waste stream, see our rubbish bags. Open a trade account with Hygiene Direct for bulk pricing.
