Description
MAC Slay Transitional Facility Dual-Action Insecticide – Space Spray 400ml
A dual-action insecticide made for transitional facilities and the teams who unpack imported containers. It combines knockdown and residual active ingredients (d-phenothrin and permethrin), so it deals with the live insect in front of you and leaves a residual layer on the surfaces you treat.
MPI’s guidance for transitional facilities says a dual-action insecticide with both knockdown and residual action should be used at TFs, and that an aerosol should be on hand for immediate use when unpacking sea containers. This product is MPI approved at transitional facilities for disinsection of shipping containers, and MPI Type A approved for all animal product premises, including dairy. It holds EPA approval HSR101386 under the HSNO Act.
The micro-mist dry spray gives good penetration, and the manufacturer says there is no risk of water marking or staining goods and cardboard packaging. Use it as a space spray inside shipping containers, and as a surface spray on inspection areas, bins, quarantine areas and hard stands. The safety data sheet lists use against mosquitoes, houseflies, fleas, cockroaches, silverfish and carpet beetles. Large 400ml can, made in New Zealand.
